
The History of Elko Diagnostic ImagingFounded by Dr. Joanie Haid in 1992, Elko Diagnostic Imaging (EDI) has maintained a reputation of offering superior outpatient imaging services. The partnership formed with Reno Diagnostic Centers (RDC) in Reno, NV in 2005 has provided EDI with the latest in 100% digital imaging technology, while maintaining personalized care. Our staff is comprised of compassionate, licensed and American College of Radiology (ACR) Certified technologists, and a team of compassionate and highly skilled board-certified and fellowship trained Radiologists. This dedication to quality patient care, coupled with state-of-the-art 100% digital technology imaging allows EDI to bring modern day radiology to the residents of Elko. Digital files allow immediate access to images and reports over a secure online connection, which also virtually eliminates lost films. Studies can also be sent electronically to either RDC for further evaluation on their 3-D Vitreao workstation, or to any academic sub-specialty expert from around the world, without the patient ever having to leave Elko county. EDI is proud to bring this high level of quality patient care to the Elko community. We actively support various local charities, schools and events. December 2008Dr. Joanie Haid officially retires. Dr. Ross Golding named Medical Director for EDI.March 2009Digital Mammography installed at EDI - now a 100% all digital imaging environment - paperless and filmless in all imaging. This coupled with RDC partnership allows EDI the ability to obtain a second, specialist's opinion when needed, without patients having to leave Elko County.Februay 2011Launched new and completely redesigned website. The new web site was designed to educate a variety of audiences, including health care professionals and the patient population that seeks to better understand the imaging procedure or treatment they are undergoing and information about the radiologist who will be interpreting their exam. |
